Ashtanga Yoga North Adams
Yoga contains an ocean of embodied wisdom. The practice of ashtanga yoga is a stream of knowledge, one with rich currents, steeped in tradition. By cultivating more and more subtle awareness, the practice offers a framework – a set of tools and a focused space – through which to approach yoga.
Mysore practice is shared through direct teacher-to-student transmission. Water flowing into water. Practitioners develop their own practice slowly, over time, with personal guidance from the teacher. All bodies, ages, and levels of experience, including absolute beginners, are equally welcome; you're met where you are. Class takes shape through individual focus and intention, forming a collective of breath and movement. This is the traditional method.
